Admittedly, this is far more exciting news for those of us in the industry than for most of you out there….or at least it is ordinarily….In this case, I would say to any of you who are hopelessly addicted to changing your hair, straightening your hair, or who are afflicted with chronically dry parched hair – PAY ATTENTION!
I am not nice to my hair – at all – and I don’t plan to change that any time soon. And aside from a truly tragic perm experience in the late 80’s (chunks of hair came away with the perm rods), my hair has survived intact.
But now, there is something out there that will let you change, style, sun, over-chlorinate (ok, let’s just say it – deliberately damage) to your hearts content!
Bumble and Bumble has just introduced the Wear and Care line – with two treatment options depending on your needs. Mending for the truly damaged, and Quenching for the terribly thirsty.
I have been using Mending, see above for the why’s on that, and I have to say…I am impressed. This is not just a pretty new face, this stuff really works! According to Bumble, what it is doing is penetrating the core of the hair shaft and actually repairing the structure. I am also impressed by the fact that it does not weigh my hair down like most “deep conditioning” products do, I can still wear my hair tousled and volume-tastic, even on days I use the masque in the morning shower, and the Mending Complex before styling.
